February 15th - Melbourne, Iowa

On another sunny Sunday afternoon in Iowa we completed our latest trip, spending an hour or so driving around Melbourne, Iowa. At first we were concerned that it the necessary angles plus the position of the sun would make it difficult to get our usual pictures, but with a little investigation found places to shoot from. The Post Office was as neat as it looked on Google Street View, and we also found a nice war memorial along Main Street.

As an added bonus, we were also able to eliminate one more Iowa article from the list of those needing photos with a quick trip to the Ashton Observatory, located within Ashton-Wildwood Park along Highway 330.
